Blogging??? Me???

So surely you are thinking, Joni, blogging?

Sitting here, after a long week of health complications, a sick little guy, I'm wondering the same thing...  However, success begins at the end of your comfort zone, and I've been out of my comfort zone more in the past year than I've ever imagined!  A good friend and mentor of mine, Kim Sheely, suggested I continue along that path and share what I've learned with others.

I saw this a while back, and it got my wheels turning.

About a year ago I was in horrible health, out of shape, and post-baby me was missing something... OK a lot of things.  So I was introduced to a direct marketing company, which completely opened my eyes to something new.  I am still involved in that company, mainly because of the huge impact it has made on my life and for my friends and family.  With it has come many surprises, new friendships, and a renewed sense of accomplishment and confidence.  This November my mentor Kim introduced me to a very new, even to her, Perfectly Posh!  I got some of her very first samples, fell in love, and signed up on the spot!  I remember telling her, "I really don't know if I'll do much with this", but she's heard that before!  The more I work with Posh and meet amazing women with great stories, the happier I am about my decision to become a Perfectly Posh Independent consultant.

What I've learned about myself, and many others, is that it's important for busy women to take some time out of their schedules, put down the dishes, the laundry, the rest of the chores, and take the time to pamper myself!  I love hosting fun spa-themed girls nights, and sharing my love of Posh!  Our products are amazing, and my hostesses earn great perks for having their parties.  It feels great to help regular women with all sorts of skin conditions feel great about themselves!  It's been wonderful for me on so many levels.  I'm building great relationships, doing what I love, and the pay plan is great!  I love knowing that I can help people make the extra $100 a month to give them a night out, an extra $400 a month for the car payment, or an extra $1000 or more a month which could allow them to work from home!  The possibilities are endless!

To be clear, I have never thought of myself as a sales person.   I get to have fun with ladies on a night out, share my love for Posh, and get some adult time away from my day job!  I never thought of starting my own business.  I am not a writer.   I do not really have extra time on my hands, and my adorable little boy would love it if I could be home every night to read him stories and play trucks and tractors with him.  The beauty of Posh is most nights I am right at home where I need to be!  I'd love to do about two parties a week, and aside from that most of my work on follow ups and marketing is done after he goes to bed.  It's really not about having time, but making time.  And when you love something, it doesn't feel like work!

I'm guessing I will post on all different subjects, maybe motherhood, kids, fitness, or even gastroparesis, so I hope you will be patient with my distractions:)  For the one or two of you that will probably be reading my blog, I hope you get something from this that will help you to be inspired in some way.

Have a great evening!
